Adolescence is the developmental stage between childhood and adulthood is a crucial period. Considerable biological change occurs as adolescents attain sexual and physical maturity. Adolescence begins at 12 or 13 years through 18 years old. Though the importance of home environment cannot be overruled during any of the developmental stages of a child. The home environment plays a significant role in overall development of the child. Home environment has been observed to have significant impact on the psychosocial competence of adolescents. Self concept is shaped by others and the environment Emotional Maturity is the product of interaction between many factors like home environment, school environment, society and culture
