The present study is aimed to document the dye yielding plants of Khanapur Forest, Bidar District. The Present paper is outcome of frequent field trips for the documentation of dye yielding plants during 2015-18. During the field visit the knowledge gained by Interrogating with tribal people and senior personalities of the of the village. Study revealed 30 plants species belonging to 19 families and 29 genera. The information gathered indicates that the tribals, village people of near by of the study area possess good knowledge about the dye yielding plants. Data includes Botanical name, vernacular / local name, family, plant part used and colour of dye are provided.
