Mobile Ad hoc Networks (MANETs) are gaining popularity in recent years because of the ease of deployment and connectivity when compared to traditional fixed infrastructure networks. MANET is one of the most promising wireless multi-hop networks that has emerged from the technology world and does not require a specific network infrastructure. It is a collection of wireless mobile devices that is used to send data packets through a wireless medium without the help of any third party backbone like a base-station or a router. MANET routing protocols are challenged with establishing and maintaining multihop routes due to frequent mobility, bandwidth limitation and power constraints and the task of routing is distributed among network nodes which act as both end points and routers. Important aspect in the design of effective broadcasting approaches should be efficient and consistent to discover new routes and maintain them till the successful delivery of packets between the node pairs and enhance the performance metrics. This study has been undertaken to investigate the performance analysis of four different broadcasting approaches and simulations are designed to pinpoint various performance issues using adaptive responses to network conditions.
