The isothermal state equation is of great importance for knowing about the volume change under pressure influence at a fixed temperature and is therefore related to solid compression. The elastic moduli of single pyrope-rich garnet crystal was measured at room temperature over a 3GP pressure range. Using energy-dispersive X-ray diffraction in situ, the thermoelastic properties of the synthetic pyrope garnet were discussed at high temperature and high pressure. Two different approaches were used to determine the thermoelastic properties by using the state equations of high temperature Birch-Murnaghan (HTBM) and Mie-Gruneisen-Debye (MGD). Using these equations, the thermoelastic properties of pyrope garnet at pressures and temperatures close to the mantle were obtained.
