Title

Real Time Pollution Control And Monitoring Food Industries

Abstract

Food Industry supplies most of the food consumed by the Global population. Every step in the food industry system has some impact on the environmental pollution. Highly diversified nature of food processing and handling wastes of different quality and quantity, leading to increasing disposal and pollution problems. During the preparation of varieties of fried food, toxic gases are released among which Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) are the major products causing various respiratory disorders. Toxic gases released from fried food manufacturing industry are measured with Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) Sensor. Humidity Sensor and PH Sensor is to measure temperature of air and quality of water in the industry respectively. It has been identified that Wireless Sensors Network (WSN) is an efficient architecture to monitor and control the pollution in food industries as they provide flexibility in connecting various sensors and devices in the network of the Central Monitoring and Control System(CMCS). The Internet of Things (IOT) environment is created connecting the WSN with Web Server (WS) remotely through Internet. During polluted environment, the control signal is conveyed to the concerned food industry and purification system is automatically turned on to reduce the pollution. Various food industries data is considered in the research work and the results are encouraging.
