The requirement of the fuel is increasing day by day with the increasing number of automobiles but the fuel is available in limited stock and can get diminished in the near future. So, to reduce this problem in the near future, we require alternative fuel which is available in abundant quantity to run automobiles. It is found that hydrogen is having high calorific value so it’s good to use hydrogen as fuel. This report presents some information about how we can use hydrogen in 4 stroke IC engine. We are doing some experiment on 2-wheeler bike engine having a single cylinder. By using the electrolysis process, we will produce the hydrogen gas and use it as a fuel in an internal combustion engine. It is possible to use hydrogen in both IC & EC engine. There are some issues while using hydrogen as a fuel in internal combustion engine like backfiring, pre-ignition rapid rise of pressure rise & knocking, etc. We also try to research in that part give some conclusion on it. Also, we are developing a system to generate and store hydrogen and can be fitted in the two-wheeler. As hydrogen is difficult to store due to its explosive property so we are also working on it to find the solution.
