Title

Dielectric Relaxation Studies of 1:1 Complexes of Primary Amines with 2-chlorobenzoic acid in 1,4-Dioxane

Abstract

Standard standing wave microwave X-band technique is employed to measure the dielectric constants and dielectric losses of primary amines with 2-chlorobenzoic acid in a low dielectric strength solvent 1,4-Dioxane at 9.43GHz. The Debye equations for dilute solutions were used to determine the overall relaxation time and group rotation relaxation time of the polar solute molecules. The obtained average relaxation times are on the measurements of single frequency. Our results confirmed that the observed relaxation time is higher at the molar ratio 1:1 of the molecules taken for the investigation. Relative study of activation free energy and viscous flow imply the fact that the process hold greater inference by the neighboring than dielectric relaxation next takes place only by rotation, considering that the viscous flow associate twain the rotational motion and translational motion.
