Internship is a highly productive tool to shape and mold academicians into competent entrepreneurs. Since it is a significant part of any Industry – Institute linkage, many researchers have tried and tested various Internship Models to improve the effectiveness of Internship programs. An attempt has been made in this work to bring out an Innovative internship model, specifically tailored for Engineering interns, with due consideration to participation of the institute in all stages of the program. The strategic plan has been developed and detailed in this work with in-depth analysis of the possible areas of contributions from the engineering interns.
