Title

Porosity variations on groundwater with and without chemical reaction

Abstract

A two-dimensional particle size variations has been developed for the purpose of studying variably saturated water flow and solute transport in groundwater, with and without the effect of chemical reaction. The formulation of differential equations are non-dimensionalized and then solved analytically under appropriate initial and boundary conditions using the perturbation method. Effects of Schmidt number, Darcy number, reaction rate parameter and particle parameter on the velocity and concentration profiles are discussed and presented graphically.
