The birth of derivatives has produced a tremendous revolutionary impact across the world in the financial area .Since the inception of derivatives is in June 2000. It has occupied an important place among all the financial products because of legion uses like risk management ,profit increment, speculation and arbitrage .It has a specified and special attribute that makes it different from other financial products ie it transfers risk from risk avoider to the risk takers. Since launch of equity derivatives market has penetrated the area of Indian stock market. So its turnover is more on NSE as compare to equity market turnover. This study has focused on exploring the attitude of investors towards derivative usage in investment. The objective was to investigate investor’s attitude towards derivative usages. This study targeted 100 respondents to collect data through questionnaires. In order to analyze the data, Chi- square analysis was applied and prime findings were received.
