In this paper we design and analysis the result of bow tie antenna by using ground slotting. The entire dimensions of bow tie antenna are 20*16*1.6 mm. The proposed antenna is suitable for W LAN 3/4.5/5 GHz bands.Without ground slotting structure antenna is resonating at 8.24 GHz and with ground slotting structure antenna is resonating at 3 GHz.The proposed ground slotting structure in this model improved the overall performance of the antenna by decreasing its electrical length. Antenna is simulated using high frequency structure simulation (HFSS) V.15 which is based on finite element modeling (FEM).The antenna characteristics such as return loss; radiation pattern and VSWR of the antenna are analyzed and presented. The antenna can be used in GPS as well as INSAT applications.
