To test the performance and coverage during communication, Drive test is performed. The Drive test provides real-time parameters of the RF environment in the test area. The main advantage of drive test is that it provides actual communication quality, as experienced by the users. Drive test is performed while a call is in process. The whole process is done with the help of software. The software may differ according to the availability and requirement. Here we are using XCAL software for performing the test and obtaining network KPI. The test result gives KPI details along with handover performance and coverage.
