Automatic Energy Meter (AEM) is the technology of automatically collecting consumption, diagnostic, and status data from energy meter and transferring that data to a central database for billing, troubleshooting, and analyzing. Current Electricity consumption and billing process done by human operators require long working hour for meter reading and billing process. our work is to overcome the disadvantages of using current meter technology and make the billing process faster. This mainly saves the expense of periodic trips to each physical location to read a meter. Automatic energy meter reading is presented is a working prototype of the system was build to demonstrate the automatic electricity Consumption reading, billing and notification of the electricity consumption through the use of IOT System
