Title

PERSONALITY DEVELOPMENT THROUGH SWAYAM COURSES AMONG PROSPECTIVE TEACHERS

Abstract

In this paper, the researcher investigates personality development through swayam courses among prospective teachers. The study of the human personality is perhaps one of the most exciting and challenging parts of the field of psychology. The word ‘organization’ means that personality is not a haphazard collection of traits or tendencies but a unified system where parts are related to each other and the whole. It is not straight and smooth. The speed of its development at one stage of growth may differ from that of another. It is the result of one’s interaction with the environment. There are various factors, which influence the personality development of an individual. The following are some of them. Personality development is the organized pattern of behaviour and attitudes that makes a person distinctive. Personality development occurs through the ongoing interaction of temperament, character, and environment. It is inferred from the above table that the calculated value is less than the table value; therefore, the null hypothesis is accepted. It reveals that there is no significant difference between the personality development of rural and urban students, except in the dimension of self-confidence.
