The productivity of fruits reduces because of diseases originated by a variety of diseases on its leaf and mainly caused by bacteria, fungi, virus etc. Diseases are generally classified as white flies’ diseases and rust. The support vector machine based classifier is implemented to classify diseases and healthy conditions. The concept of support vector machine is explained with for classification of data. The algorithm is implemented using RGB values of pixel. 310 images are used to train classifier and accuracy obtained is 82.25% which is better than the classifier implemented using Maximum Likelihood Classifier and Artificial Neural Network. The detail comparison of these three algorithms is also given.
