Title

Cause and consequences of the Financial Globalization on Gender Neutrality: An explorative study on selected banks in Odisha

Authors

Abstract

ABSTRACT Culture Gender neutrality is considered as a major critical element in achieving social and institutional change for the sustainable development from the grassroots level. Previously, it had not been given any importance for the gender neutrality for the up liftmen of the social phenomenon due to the policy paralysis. In the same line it has been revealed that there were inequalities between men and women manifest themselves in all areas of development. Inequalities are most of the areas like health and education, economic development, violence against women, participation in public life and policymaking and social attitudes and gender stereotyping. Health discrimination against women in India starts early and is evident in the skewed sex ratio of 933 women to 1,000 men (world average: 990:1,000). In this context, the prime objective of the study is that to find out the impact of the globalization for the gender neutrality in Indian context and its impact on the banking like emerging institution. In my study as per the secondary data represented that the gender neutrality in different sectors of India increased as per the social transformation especially post liberalization period and women came to participate in the mainstream of economy. To proved it , I have taken banking sector as a indicator to measure the impact of the globalization on gender neutrality, for this cause, I have collected a small sample from selected bank women employees in Odisha to measure or getting their perception to know the gender neutrality. Hence I have collected 60 samples from the population and use Z statics for measuring if any difference exits between the group, chi-square test for testing hypothesis and factor analysis for getting important factors for the gender neutrality.
