The continuous process of urbanization creating the drastically changes in urban landscape. Population growth have the major cause of the same. Addition to this, social services and benefits, attraction of modern lifestyle, educational facilities, amenities of health care centres, transportation and communication services etc. factors responsible for the rural to urban migration. The present study trying to evaluated the geographical aspects behind the urban sprawl and changes in LULC. In case of the selected study region found, the features of population growth, characteristics of the density and distribution affects on the urban sprawl and LULC. Addition to this, the geographical set-up of the region controls the direction and shape of the same.
