Title

HOW MAGNETIC FIELD EFFECTS PULSATILE BLOOD FLOW IN A CIRCULAR TUBE WITH PERIODIC BODY ACCELERATION AND INCLINATION

Abstract

A model is here developed mathematically to study the nature of flow of blood in a rigid circular tube with periodic body acceleration which is slightly inclined and is under the influence of a uniform magnetic field. Here blood is considered to be a couple stress fluid. Finite Hankel and Laplace transforms are here used to obtain the analytical expressions for velocity profile, flow rate and acceleration of blood. Flow velocity changes with number of parameters such as Hartmann number, gravitational parameter, body acceleration, inclination angle, time etc. and this deviation of flow velocity can be regulated by a proper use of magnetic field.
