One of the most serious threats to network security is Denial of service (DOS) attacks. When this attack is performed in a distributed manner, it can create more disaster. A lot of research has been carried out for the detection of this attack. In this various techniques have been studied and discussed. The primary focus was given to machine learning techniques.
