Title

EXAMINING COMMUNICATION COMPETENCE OF BANK MANAGERS ACROSS SECTORS IN KERALA:

Abstract

The communication skills of managers in Kerala's three main banking sectors—the public sector, the old private sector, and the new private sector—are compared in this study. From the entire list of bank managers in Kerala, a multi-stage stratified random sampling technique was used to choose a sample of bank managers. There is a considerable difference in the managers' communication skills, according to an analysis of 350 replies from bank managers in three different industries and three well-known districts of the state. One-Way ANOVA was used to assess the variation, and the results show that the F value is statistically validated at the one percent significant level. The study's findings show that the bank managers who were chosen for the investigation had very different communication skills depending on which sector of the bank they work in—the public, old private, or new private sector. Out of the three sectors, the public sector and new private sector bank managers have the lowest communication skills, while the old private sector bank managers have the most. Bank managers could find this research useful in identifying areas where they need to enhance their communication skills. The results of this study will also lay the foundation for administrators in the banking industry to investigate the causes behind the differences in communication skills among managers employed in the three distinct industries.
