Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya was an important thinker of Indian society and politics, who presented the concept of 'Integral Humanism'. His ideas gave a new direction to Indian politics, society and economy, which was different from Western ideologies. He highlighted the limitations of traditional definitions of nationalism, democracy, socialism and capitalism and emphasized the need for a new ideology in the Indian context. The concept of Antyodaya was important in his ideas, which talked about bringing the light of development to the weakest person in the society. He emphasized on promoting social harmony, self-reliance and policies in accordance with Indian culture. This review paper analyzes the social, political and economic implications of his ideas.
