In developing countries like India power consumption is increasing, especially during summer it requirement reaches the peak. Hence for more energy we relay more on non renewable resource like coal power plant hydel power plant and wind energy. But the most efficient and green energy is obtained from solar. Hence it's important to get consistent energy throughout. For this we have to concentrate on performance analysis of sloar power plant. In this paper we have evaluated the performance analysis of 5MW solar power plant in shivanasamudra ,situated in belakwadi ,Mandya district, Karnataka .we have calculated the performance ratio, CUF, solar radiation . These are simulated in PV Syst and PV Watts calculator and the results obtained is compared with actual results.
