This brief presents the configurable adder that is designed for approximate applications with zero power and high speed. In this design the addition is the key arithmetic operation for these applications. The proposed configurable adder is designed for less impact in terms of delay. This adder is designed based on conventional CLA and its accuracy is recognised by masking the carry propagation at run time, with less area than the previous adders. With configurable settings it consumes less power and less delay comparing with other adders. This can also operate error tolerant applications. Adders presented in this brief reduce the power consumption and delay without any loss in accuracy.
