Nutrition is an important part of cancer treatment. Eating the right kinds of foods during and after treatment can help the patient feel better and stay stronger. Malnutrition isone of the major problems in children with cancer. Severe weight loss and abnormally low concentrations of certain plasma proteins such as albumin and transferrin have been recognized for a long time in patients with cancer, including children. An observational study was conducted among 50 children affected with ALL undergoing chemotherapy at oncology department of 3 multispeciality hospitals of Hyderabad.
