Title

DESIGN OF COMPOSITE FLYOVER

Abstract

Flyovers have been constructed since early seventies. They are mainly constructed for the purpose of traffic congestion elimination. For the short and medium span bridges, flyovers-concrete composite construction is gaining popularity. This paper is purely based on the design of a composite flyover. When the strength of both steel and concrete are taken together, it forms a composite member which gives maximum strength when compared to other types of flyover. The manual design and analysis were carried out using different theories.

Key Words

Interior panels, Main Girder, Cross girders, Stiffeners, Shear connectors, Abutment, Pier, Footing.
