Title

DESIGNING OF DUAL BAND LPDA FOR ISM APPLICATIONS

Abstract

A Dual Band Log Periodic Dipole Antenna (LPDA) is been designed for the ISM applications. The advantage of the designed LPDA is that it has high gain, low cost and wider bandwidth which can be used especially for Wi-Fi applications. A Dual Band LPDA with 10 dipole elements is designed for the ISM bands using software called Computer Simulation Tool (CST Microsoft) which has advantages over other tools. The ISM bands 2.4GHz and 5.8GHz have been used for designing a dual band LPDA which results in VSWR less than 2.0 and Gain of 8dB, return loss less than -10dB.
