WSN incorporate a wide domain of application and becoming essential part of living life. Mobile ad hoc network is an infrastructure less, dynamic network and temporary. MANET is known to have mammoth set of applications in the domain of computer networks. But on the hand MANET is also vulnerable to many active and passive attacks due to the lack of security mechanism, centralized management in routing protocol and. There are various attacks which are severe to networking but black hole attack is one of the most familiar security threats in MANET. In black hole attack, a malicious node attracts packets from source by advertising itself having the shortest route to the destination and then discards all the incoming packets and sent the acknowledgement to transmitter that packet sent successfully. After gone through various research paper, need to design such a protocol which can handle such security threat so that unauthorized person cannot access data.
