Delay at the signalized intersection is the most important parameter of the signal timing optimization and level of service (LOS). Traffic in India consists of mainly two parts both motorized and non-motorized traffic with no lane movement of vehicles and no restricted mixing up of flow this has led to heterogeneous traffic condition in India determination of PCU values in mixed traffic condition was a challenge. Saturation flow and delay model of particular intersection will help in determine the various loop holes in the present given condition and saturation and delay model for the selected junctions in Bangalore city and microscopic simulation model is being prepared for the same by using VISSIM software. Based on the results that is obtained after stimulation certain proposals have been suggested to improve the conditions of the selected area
