In any organization it usually happens that whenever the policy decisions regarding pay, perquisites, promotion and targets of work or sales to be achieved are revised than there will be exit of personnel, which in other words is called the wastage. The random amount of wastage interms of manhours may be such that they are not independent of each other. For example, it is very likely that if the wastage in one epoch of decision making is very high then the wastages in successive epochs may be reduced due to some precautionary measures taken. The other possibility is that if the wastage is high in one epoch it may influence the wastage in the next epoch so that it would also very high. Hence, it can be called as correlated wastages. In this paper, assuming that the wastages in successive decision epochs are correlated random variables, the expected time to recruitment is derived by assuming that the threshold level for wastages is one which satisfies the so called Setting the Clock Back to Zero (SCBZ) property using the shock model approach.
