In this paper the components of ADPLL is presented. All the components used are in digital form namely Phase Detector(PD), increment decrement circuit, and counters. Advantage of ADPLL over DPLL is presented. All the parameters in ADPLL like phase noise, phase error, input frequency, etc is to be calculated. In this paper Ex-or phase detector is used instead of using Edge Controlled PD (ECPD) because of high gain. Simulation and result is taking on different frequencies and whenever phase is locked that frequency can be considered. Simulation of ADPLL is done using vivado software.
