Title

Healing of Asphaltic Materials by Adding Conductive Materials

Abstract

Study of asphalt with steel fibre for crack repair and self healing roads using infrared heating deals with the experimental and implementation of newly developed method of crack repair using infrared heating and conductive materials. Cracks or potholes may develop in the road due to heavy traffic load and environmental conditions. So the new method to self-heal this crack and to treat pothole is put forward. This study will assess the properties related with steel fibre induced asphalt. The study explores the effect of air voids content and their interconnectivity on the capacity of asphalt mixtures to heal cracks when a infrared treatment is applied .The main objective of this study is to give the appropriate method to treat potholes or cracks.
