Insect infestation in warehouse storing grains, groceries and other agricultural products caused by unscientific storage attracts insects, rodents etc affecting the income of farmers adversely. The economic loss is not only measured by the amount of grain consumed by pests but contamination and their excreta nearby storage makes the grain unfit for Human consumption as well. Introducing automation in the pest monitoring decreases damaging of stored grains as manual monitoring of pest is neither effective nor accurate and proper steps can be taken to control these pests. Real time control and Management of infestation from insects and rodents by Wireless Sensor Networks is a invited solution for the future.
