Abstract
With the rapid urbanization, the increasing population of stray animals has become a serious social problem in the cities of Punjab. There are several causes for the rise in the number of stray animals in the state. The present research is an attempt to identify the reasons for increasing population of stray animals in the region and then to study the impact of stray animals on public health and safety. An effort would be made to bring out various solutions for the management of stray animals in the light of research results.
