Title

Performance Analysis of Convolutional Code and Turbo Code based on BER

Abstract

Maintaining the quality of data is the most important thing in communication. There are various factors that affect the quality of data when it is transferred over communication channel like noise, fading, etc. To overcome this effect the convolution coding and turbo coding techniques are used to encode and decode a stream of bits. This paper proposes the performance is analysed in terms of Bit Error Rate (BER) and SNR by applying different channel codes with the implementation aid of MATLAB over Additive White Gaussian Noise (AWGN) channel.
