Title

Evolution of the Comparative Rheological study of gum Polysaccharide Suspension and gum polysaccharide based hydrogels

Abstract

In this work, we used the gum ghatti as natural gum polysaccharide. In this work, we explored the rheological characterization the gum ghatti suspension and gum ghatti based hydrogels. In this present work, we were investigated the comparative rheology study of gum ghatti suspension and gum ghatti based hydrogels. Hydrogels were prepared from the gum ghatti and acrylic acid as monomers with different proportion of crosslinking agent. In the rheology study, we found from the result of shear viscosity as a function of shear rate that both gum ghatti suspension and hydrogel systems were exhibited the shear thinning behavior. Furthermore, oscillatory sweep measured in the LVE range where the storage modulus and loss modulus, Complex viscosity were determined at constant strain. It was found that the storage modulus was increased as a function of frequency as compared to loss modulus. Furthermore, the temperature sweep performed at 15 0C to 950C. It observed that storage modulus increased as temperature increase. We also performed the reverse temperature scan of the hydrogel samples from temperature range of 95 0C to 15 0C to investigate the reversible nature of materials.
