A STUDY OF ISSUES IN HANDLOOM COOPERATIVES IN INDIA
Abstract
Handloom weaving is one of the largest economic activites after agriculture providing direct and In-direct employment to more than 43 lakh weavers and allied workers. The strenght of the sector lies in its uniqueness, flexibility of production, openness to innovations, adaptability to the supplier’s requirement and the wealth of its tradition. In this paper analsyed issues in Handloom Cooperatives in India and Solutions for growth of the Handloom cooperatives in India.
