Gastro-hepatic (GH) pack is one of the naturopathic treatment modality where hot fermentation bag is kept on abdomen and cold ice bag at lower back and then cotton and woollen sheets are wrapped. This study aims to evaluate the effect of Naturopathy and yoga with GH pack on liver profile, withdrawal symptoms and quality of life in alcohol dependence patients. 66 male volunteers were recruited for the study. 33 out of 66 subjects were given GH pack and naturopathy and yoga intervention daily and other 33 subjects had only naturopathy and yoga treatment for 10days. Assessments were done on first day and 10th day of treatment. Data were checked for normal distribution and analysed by using Wilcoxon signed rank test and Mann Whitney ‘u’ test with SPSS (Version 23.0) package. The results of study showed significant improvement in liver profile, quality of life in case group comparatively. Hence the application of GH pack along with naturopathy treatment can be used for alcohol dependence.
