Title

Fuzziness in Operation Research and Game Theory

Abstract

We define fuzzy number. The sum and product of two fuzzy numbers and the scalar multiplication of a fuzzy number are discussed. We consider fuzzy number valued functions and discuss their measurability, integrability and so on. We discuss a two-person zero-sum game with fuzzy payoff value and sets of strategies of each player finite. We prove the necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of an equilibrium point for a two-person zero-sum fuzzy game. The game value is obtained as a fuzzy number. We consider a two-person zero-sum game, with the sets of strategies of the players are infinite. We study in detail about the rectangular game with a continuous fuzzy payoff function. We consider convex games and obtain the value of the convex game. We considered fuzziness of the payoff function with other aspects retained as crisp. We discuss another sort of fuzziness that is relevant—namely coalition behaviour players becoming fuzzy rather than crisp. We treat an n-person co-operative game with fuzzy coalition.
