In this paper, we have analysed agricultural development under irrigation management programme in Sangrampur Block in Munger District (Bihar). The growth of agriculture forms the backbone and is a pre-requisite for rural area development. The proposal for substantial investment on On-farm development and stress on the integrated programmes mainly assume that a greater and concomitant development of agriculture is the means of realisation of the investment and capable of generating adequate employment opportunities for the rural masses. Therefore, a well organised strategic research both with technology and social engineering is a most for the agricultural development in the study area. Keeping this is mind, the author has discussed in brief the land utilization pattern, crop intensity, intensity of irrigation, Area under high yielding varieties and use of fertiliess, crop yields and their planning for the development.
