In this paper, you will get to see a quick summary about the medical imaging techniques which has now made it easy for the medical world in right from detecting an abnormality till curing it. We get to see the structures and learn the functionality of the organs embedded inside us without cutting through the body using these imaging techniques. Starting from X-Ray discovered in 1895 it goes on to CT scan, MRI and the nuclear medicine imaging techniques like PET and SPECT. In the recent times we humans always prefer the techniques which are less harmful and are the most efficient. Therefore these days we can see research being done on multi-modality imaging [PET/CT and PET/MRI] and the imaging techniques like MRI, fMRI being used in planning and executing Radiotherapy. So we see that the imaging techniques not only makes it possible to detect the abnormality more accurately but also allows the doctors to cure it in a more précised way.
