Cloud Computing in general term means anything which involves hosted services which are connected over the internet. With the advancement of the internet over the years, cloud computing is one of the emerging technology. Due to the increase in usage of cloud computing services, there are certain challenges which the user and the service providers come across. Due to the increase in the load, the resources are not utilized efficiently, this is the main reason for Load Balancing. The main concept of load balancing is to equally divide the load to all the nodes so that the resources are utilized efficiently. This paper gives a brief overview of load balancing, different types of load balancing, different algorithms used, and briefly all the parameters involved.
