Detection of Text in an image using Deep Learning

Abstract
The evolution of image processing has made enormous opportunities for detection algorithms to detect text in images. Mainly different text images where information is embedded into images on which we can detect or extract that information for addressing different issues. Since existing methodology use PVAnet for training images, it is a bit time consuming. We propose the use of ResNet so that the time taken to train images might decrease. Proposed algorithm may achieve 80.83 F1 score (16fps on 720p) on benchmark ICDAR 2013 and ICDAR 2015 datasets.
