Abstract
Agriculture plays an important role in our country. It is the main occupation in India since times immemorial. It is proved that adoption of outdated technology is the real cause for under development of this sector. Agriculture is the largest economic activity in India since it provides food, raw materials to industries and generates employment to big section of the society. The history of many developed countries states that development in agriculture has led to the growth of industry, transport and other non-agricultural activities.
