Abstract:The world economy is facing a serious global climatic vulnerabilities over the last few decades especially after world war 2nd. However the global push towards the globalization through establishment of the World Trade Organisation (WTO) in 1995 has added more worries, where India was the founding member.Though the aims and objectives were to expand the trade and link the trade,economic development and the environment but the implementation on the ground was reverse resulting more crises at the international level.Thus Indian is the victim of such crises.So the current study has been choosen.The objectives of the study are what are the threats and vulnerabilities for the Indian economy and how to deal with such crises both in the rural and the urban areas.The methodology and the data sources for the study are time series analysis and the literatures available on the problems and day today observations over the years.The study shall be from cover period from 1950 to 2019.The present paper has been divided into four sections as ist section is introductory,2nd is causes,3rd deals with effects ,4th with data analysis and trends and the 5th and final section deals with mitigation and meeting challenges.
