Microfinance is a word comprise of two word ‘Micro’ and ‘Finance’, Micro means ‘small’ and Finance means ‘provide funding for’, Microfinance means provide funding for small enterprise or below poverty line population for their needful. Various dimensions used in microfinance like Repayment of loan, Poverty Alleviation, Investing, Lending, Insurance etc. This Paper is based on 15 previously published research papers on Microfinance and its Dimensions on various Journals. This paper emphasises on most researched and least researched dimension on which research should be carried up to reshape the design and direction of Microfinance. It also provides the scope of research which amplifies the waves in domain of Microfinance.
