Title

Thermo analytical investigation of untreated and thermally treated Industrial Grade Calcite

Abstract

, : Calcite, 600oC heated Calcite, and 900oC heated Calcite during the pyrolysis using the TGA. The heated samples of Calcite were prepared at 600oC and at 900oC. The determination of kinetic parameters such as activation energy from TGA is receiving considerable attention. The determination of an activation energy parameter from a single integral TGA curve, (Weight loss vs. T). Thermogravimetric (TG) analysis curves show that the main degradation step follows first-order kinetics. The minor and major decomposition temperature and also the activation energy of the main degradation step was calculated and discussed using Brido method,
