: The research is to know contributions of overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) initiatives to competitive manufacturing. This research also investigate how the OEE can be affected by the various factor like performance, availability and the quality. This research is about to OEE increase productivity in punching press industry. The study is carried out to find the root cause of downtime and the lower the various failure as well as losses in punching industry. The approach is directed in the direction for finding the root cause of the problem due to which maintenance problem rise in a manufacturing sector in Indian industries and to reduce maintenance to improve OEE. The study highlights the contributions of strategic TPM initiatives to organisational performance and also the need for the successful management of TPM programmes for establishing sustained maintenance improvement initiatives.
