Our main aim is to derive some hereditary properties of amenable Banach algebras and establish its connection with amenable groups. we show here that a group G is amenable if and only if the discrete group algebra X1(G) is amenable. We extend it to Banach algebras so that the continuous complex-valued functions on compact Hausdorff spaces, the compact operators on arbitrary Hilbert spaces and the integrable functions on R is amenable. We examine whether from the amenability of a Banach algebra is possible to determine amenability of another Banach algebra.
