Title

Effect of viewing angle of LED on Visible Light Communication

Abstract

Li -Fi is the future technology for data transfer. In contrast to Wi -Fi , Li -Fi is a green technology with no health repercussions on humans and animals. Li-Fi.Depends upon LED to transfer data. The aim of this paper is to find out the effect shape of an LED has on data transfer by visible light communication .Two LEDs with different diameters are used in this research. Data transfer by these LEDs is observed at different baud rates and distance. It can be seen from the results that LED with smaller directivity or Full Width Half Maximum angle provides better data transmission rates.
