The present study entitled “A study on the communication behavior of doctors with patients of government hospitals in Prayagraj district, (U.P)” was carried out. Thirty doctors and thirty patients were selected from government hospitals. Data was collected by using pre-tested schedule. In government hospitals 63.33 percent patients concluded that doctors ask their problems with sympathy but 36.67 percent patients denied it. 100 percent patients accepted that doctors ask their problems in front of their relative. 33.33 percent doctors scold patients after knowing that patients didn’t follow their instructions but 66.67 percent doctors explained instructions peacefully. 100 percent doctors did not take interest in patient’s personal life as well as distance from society.
